FJ-15  Low height flat jack, 15 tons capacity with a 25mm stroke comprising of a steel capsule which expands under pressure forcing the thrust plates apart, these jacks are normally only used once. They can be inflated using oil or water for temporary use or grout for permanent installation, each jack is fitted with two thrust plates and a isolation shut-off valve as standard.

Flat jacks are normally installed in-between level steel surfaces, thrust plates that bear directly against concrete require a smooth and level surface (max thrust plate bearing pressure = 14N/mm2 at full load).  Its always better to leave a little too much headroom rather than not enough, use thin steel shims to pack tight prior to inflation, the ideal installation height (gap) for this jack should be between 32 to 36 mm.

Each individual flat jack is fully load tested prior to dispatch, test certificates are issued with this product, however, caution must be taken when using high pressure steel vessels, special training is required.
